Robbie Fearon 2017/2018

Robbie Fearon is a graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire where he studied saxophone on the Jazz course. He started playing Clarinet before switching to saxophone and has Classical as well as Jazz and Pop playing experience.

His own quartet has played in venues around Birmingham, most recently as part of Birmingham’s Jazz Legends festival, and he works around the West Midlands as a freelance musician…

Stuart Barker is a double and electric bass player who works regularly as part of the UK Jazz Scene. He took up the double bass at the age of 14 and the electric bass shortly after. John Hirst 2018

JohnHirst

John Hirst is a UK-based drummer /percussionist. He studied at Birmingham Conservatoire with Andrew Bain and Clark Tracey and participated in workshops led by John Taylor, Dave Holland and Jeff Ballard; he also won the Tony Levin Drum Prize and performed with the Conservatoire Big Band.

John currently teaches, leads his own group Blue Pearl (playing the music of Bud Powell) and performs with various other bands around the UK and Europe.

Paco Torregrosa is a saxophone player based in Birmingham. Active in the UK & Spanish music scene, Paco is a versatile musician who plays in different styles such as contemporary jazz, swing or flamenco music.

Currently he recorded with his brand new British quartet in Birmingham.

 


Nick Adams 2018

Nick Adams is a Jazz pianist and recent graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He started the piano aged three and was classically trained until the age of 16, when he began his jazz education at the Birmingham Conservatoire junior department. He joined a local big band called the Notebenders where he was able to learn the foundations of playing with large ensembles.
