While the summer weather might be proving ‘hit and miss’ this year we’re out and about having fun around the city. If you see us or any of the musicians that we’ve got visiting and performing please tweet us your photos and videos, and friend/like us on Facebook.

‘On The Edge’ is in Harborne for the next GAFF Market this weekend, more info @OTE_Orchestra.

Don’t forget it’s business as usual at Milebrook Hall, Bartley Green on Thursdays, 5-7pm – still only £2. If you’re looking to improve your musicality over summer, aged 8-18 years old, then come along and get involved.

We’ve also got 6 weeks of Drumba Zumba planned for August/September…watch this space.

At the end of the month we return to Starbucks Five Ways with the Aimee Fisk Duo. Aimée provides a fresh take on jazz and popular music performance that displays a wealth of knowledge in diverse vocal disciplines.

Daniel Kemshell is a 19 year old Scottish musician currently based in Birmingham. Originally from Aberdeen, he is a guitarist specialising in jazz, rock, pop and experimental genres. His influences include Bill Frisell, Jim Hall, John Schofield and Kurt Rosenwinkel.

Alongside her love for classical and operatic singing, Aimée has regularly performed with various jazz ensembles and together with Daniel Kemshell provides a fresh take on jazz, pop and contemporary styles. Take a listen to more of their music on the soundcloud link below.
