We’re really looking forward to Saturday’s event at Martineau Gardens. We’ve two ace bands performing.

4-5pm  – JACT

A hard-hitting, original groove band based in Birmingham with their debut EP to be released early 2016. They’re guaranteed to fill a dance floor venue and will set Martineau’s mini music fest off in style. Jact features some of Brum’s best hip hop/groove players:

Chris Young: sax, keys;  Thomas Seminar Ford: guitar + effects; Ash Trigg: bass; Jack James: drums.

5-6pm – JV Quartet

Jakub Valicek’s quartet is a modern jazz band, playing original compositions and jazz standards.

Joaquin Garavaglia: guitar; Andrew Woodhead: piano; Stuart Barker: double bass; Jakub Valicek: drums.

There will also be workshops for children and young musicians to play with the bands.

Help support live music and music making opportunities for children and young people.
